Every year I get it in my head that I want to read a ton of books and last year I did pretty good. I haven’t gone through the list of books I read yet, but I think I read around 15.

This year, I want to up my reading game.  I used to read so much, it was my escape and then I had kids and my business and I’ve kind of just let it go.

I’m having to play catch up though because I haven’t been super consistent with it, but I will say I have read and listened to more books this year than I have in the past. I think I’m 4 or 5 books in which isn’t bad.

Currently, I’m listening to The Psychic Pathway and reading The Motivation Manifesto. They are both so good. I’m learning so much. My goal isn’t just to read, for the sake of reading. My goal is to really dive deep into my personal development and business books and apply what I’m learning.

As for fiction, my goal is to take my mind off of biz and allow myself space to “wander.” Let me share some of the books I want to read with you.

2017 Books To Read This Year

I didn’t want to go in unplanned with my books but I didn’t want them all planned out so there wasn’t wiggle room, so I think I picked out about half of the books for this year and if there are other books that I feel called to read or listen to, then I’ll add it.

I wanted to share with you some of the ones I picked out though, so here they are.

Personal Development + Growth

Ask Your Guides by Sonia Choquette

This one I just got done listening to.  I was listening to it and I had to buy the actual book because she describes some of our guides and their names and I’d love to be able to reference back to them. It was such a good book!

Experiential Marketing by Kerry Smith + Dan Hanover

The Trick To Money Is Having Some by Stuart Wilde

The Psychic Pathway by Sonia Choquette

I’ve been listening to this one. I am almost done with it and I absolutely love it! It reminds me that sometimes we get so caught up in thinking that we aren’t intuitive, but all of us have this piece of intuitiveness that we don’t necessarily use as best as we can.

I bought this one a few years ago as a hard copy but I just recently bought it on Audible and I’m loving it so far!

The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard

Money and The Law Of Attraction by Esther + Jerry Hicks

Ask and It Is Given by Esther + Jerry Hicks

Soul Coaching by Denise Linn

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

Story Alchemy by David Shepard

Raising Your Spirited Child by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka

I’ll also be researching books on intuitive kids and anxiety in kids too. My son is 7 and has some anxiety around leaving us and he’s intuitive.

And my daughter is my highly spirited (aka sensitive) and intuitive kid and I’d love to understand and communicate with her better. Hopefully it will result in less temper tantrums, because this mama is not the patient type.

Fiction

The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella

This was a hilarious book that I read. I cannot wait to read another from Sohpie Kinsella. She's a fabulous author!

I just got done reading this one and it was awesome! I did laugh a lot and it was nice to read a non business or personal development book.  I actually read this in record timing (a little under a week).

Joyfully Yours by Amy Lamon

So basically any Christmas or holiday romcom is on my agenda.  I can get lost in these types of books all day long.

I love Janet Evanovich books, so I’ll probably read a few of those too.  And I used to be obsessed with Patricia Cornwell, so I’ll take a look at her books again too.

Mostly any good romantic comedy book I’m up for reading and I usually can devour one within 3 –  4 days.

While I LOVE personal & business development, my goal is to get out of my head more and and explore this year.

I didn’t want to plan every book because I know as I go through the year, I’ll get suggestions and other
